Art 1 / Registration conditions
To register, please send us the completed registration request so that we can confirm the registration with your school. Once confirmed, you must pay the deposit of 300€ for language course programmes, and 1000€ for Gap Year programmes. This deposit is fully refundable for 4 weeks following payment, provided that departure on the language course is scheduled 3 months or more after that payment. If a registration is received less than 3 months before departure, the cancellation conditions set out in Art 5 apply.
You will receive your updated invoice, based on the exchange rate of the day, between 4 and 6 weeks before departure; you may choose to pay it in local currency where this applies. Your registration will be confirmed within 48 hours of receipt of your file.
Art 1 Bis / Registration conditions for school programmes / High School
After receipt of your booking form, we send you a pre-confirmation of the stay, indicating the total amount of the stay.
On receipt of the pre-confirmation: payment of 100€ for interview and language level test fees. These fees are non-refundable, but deductible from the balance if the participant is selected for the programme.
After passing the test and the interview: 1st payment of 25% of the remaining balance, with a minimum of 1 500€. The file is not passed on to our partner until this deposit has been paid. If cancellation cover (3% of the amount) is taken out, it must be paid with this 1st payment.
On receipt of official acceptance onto the programme: 2nd payment of 25% of the remaining balance due.
16 weeks before departure, payment of the remaining balance due. The documents for obtaining the visa (if applicable), as well as all information concerning the stay (school, accommodation, travel information, etc.) are not provided if the balance has not been received.
Art 2 / Payment conditions
Payment of the balance is due on receipt of the invoice. Several means of payment are accepted, either by bank transfer or by holiday cheque (ANCV - France only). Move and Study may, under certain conditions, ask its clients to pay for accommodation on site. Deposits may also be requested for certain accommodation. These deposits must be paid on site, in local currency, and will be refunded at the end of the stay if there is no damage.
Art 3 / Cancellation
a) Cancellation cover: cancellation cover is optional but it is advisable to take it out at the time of registration. It amounts to 3% of the total amount excluding travel (2% for language courses of more than 12 weeks). It is non-refundable and covers cancellation charges in certain exceptional circumstances such as: illness, examinations, academic failure, hospitalisation or death of a family member.
b) Cancellation by the participant: any cancellation must be notified by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt.
From 30 to 20 days before departure: 30 %
From 19 to 15 days before departure: 50 %
After this limit, the charge will be 100%.
From the 1st day of your stay or in the event of early return, no refund is granted.
c) Cancellation due to a 2nd examination session: apart from an excess of 50€ for administrative fees, the whole of the stay costs will be refunded provided that an official statement of results is supplied to us no later than 3 days after the class council deliberations.
d) Late arrival: no refund can be made if you miss part of the stay because of a late arrival.
e) Cancellation by Move and Study: if a course is cancelled by Move and Study, the participant may accept an alternative or will be refunded the whole of the sums paid.
f) Transfer of the travel contract: the travel contract may be transferred to another traveller who meets the same conditions, in accordance with the provisions of Article L.221-11 of the French Tourism Code.
Art 3 Bis / Cancellation for school programmes / High School
Cancellation for school programmes: the following cancellation conditions apply to any stay including academic courses for all or part of the programme.
More than 180 days before departure: 25% of the total amount of the stay
From 180 to 46 days before departure: 50% of the total amount of the stay
From 45 to 15 days before departure: 80% of the total amount of the stay
Less than 15 days before departure: 100% of the total amount of the stay
Art 4 / Change of programme
Any change of programme at the participant's request must be specified by signed letter. Any change of school will be treated as a cancellation followed by a new registration, including the application of the charges provided for in the event of cancellation.
Art 5 / Insurance
For all language courses outside the European Union, taking out travel insurance covering the risks of accident, illness, repatriation and civil liability is strongly recommended. Move and Study offers you travel insurance as an option, as well as cancellation cover.
Art 6 / Prices and price changes
The prices set are valid from 01 January to 31 December of the current calendar year and are liable to change after that date.
Art 7 / Minimum Age
The minimum age to take part in one of our language courses abroad is 9.
Art 8 / Participant who is a minor
If the participant is not yet 18 years of age, their parents or legal guardians are considered to be contractually responsible.
Art 9 / Discipline
We expect our participants to show respect and discipline appropriate to a language course abroad.
Art 10 / Public Holidays
Schools reserve the right to close during the year on the country's public holidays. Hours missed are neither refundable nor rescheduled.
Art 11 / Travel formalities / visa
a) Travel: travel is at the participant's expense and on their own initiative.
b) Obtaining a visa: Move and Study supports you in these procedures, but participants are solely responsible for these formalities.
c) Necessary documents: identity card or passport depending on the destination and nationality.
d) Visa refusal / Expired papers: the cancellation conditions apply as the case may be.

Art 12 / Complaints
a) On site: if you encounter a problem on site, please send us an email.
b) On your return: any complaint must be sent to us by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt within 2 years of returning from your stay.
c) In the event of a dispute, only the court of your place of residence has jurisdiction.
Art 13 / Photos
Move and Study may take photos of participants during their stays. Participants may object to this use of their image provided they inform us in writing before departure.
Art 14 / Liability
The retailer and the organiser are responsible for the proper performance of the services provided for in this contract and are required to provide assistance to a traveller in difficulty.
Move and Study's liability is limited to the organisation of language courses abroad.
