East Sussex College lets international students experience something halfway between secondary school and university. The programme combines English classes, academic or vocational subjects and immersion with British students.
Students can choose a short option of one term, a semester or a full school year according to their plans, their level and the subjects they want.
You study in a modern British environment, with local and international students.
You explore general or vocational subjects according to your objectives and your profile.
Hastings, Eastbourne and Lewes each offer a different setting: a seaside town, a green campus and a historic environment.
The teaching team and the international student officer support young people as they settle in.

The programme allows you to study A-Level or Vocational subjects with English students, as a way of exploring academic life and preparing for higher education.
Format: either three general A-Level subjects or one Vocational subject, plus at least 6 hours of English depending on the timetable. Short stays focus on the experience and on progress, without the stress of a final exam.
For a full school year, it is possible to prepare the AS exams, the first year of A-Level; a student visa is then required.
From the age of 16, a single room with half board. Families usually live no more than 30 minutes by public transport from the chosen campus.
From the age of 18, a more independent option with a single room, no meals, and access to the kitchen to prepare your own food.
From the age of 18, the Caburn House residence on the campus, a 3-minute walk from the main entrance. Single room, private bathroom, shared kitchen, laundry and communal areas.
Ages: 16 to 20. English level: B1 or B2 depending on the subjects.
1 term, 1 semester or 1 school year of 10 months, starting in September or early January.
Up to 6 months: passport + UK Visitor visa / ETA. For a school year: UK Student visa.
Some subjects require an interview, a portfolio or an entrance test. You should allow 4 to 5 hours of independent study per week per subject.
