Downside School offers a setting particularly well suited to a junior language course in England. The campus stretches over a vast estate at the foot of the Mendip Hills, about 30 minutes from Bath, with many facilities on site: sports pitches, tennis courts, a large sports hall, an indoor swimming pool, a theatre, an art room, a historic refectory and living spaces for students.
Young people take 15 hours of English a week and take part in a varied programme of activities, sports, evening events and excursions. Depending on the dates and the age group, options such as tennis or horse riding can round off the programme. Accommodation is in a residence, in single, double or shared rooms, with separate areas for girls and boys. The result is a complete, lively and supervised stay, which allows students to progress in English while discovering life on a British campus.

Practical information
Arrival on site
Private transfers are organised from London Heathrow, Gatwick, Stanstead and Luton airports. The school also offers a shared shuttle transfer at a reduced rate from London Heathrow. (Flights must arrive on Wednesday between 10 am and 6 pm and depart between 11 am and 7 pm) The shuttle leaves the airport at 12 pm, 3 pm and 7 pm
