Winnipeg School Division has the largest pupil population in the city. It has 76 middle schools and secondary schools, of which 7 schools take international students.
Around 100 international students join the division each year. The district places the emphasis on community spirit, personalised follow-up and the integration of young people into Canadian school life.
The programme can last 1 school semester of 5 months or 1 school year of 10 months. Stays of 3 months are accepted in the 2nd semester from February.
The Manitoba education system is common to the whole province and recognised for the quality of its teaching. Students take 5 or 6 subjects per semester, that is 10 to 12 subjects for a full year.
