The Gold Coast is an urban area made up of small towns that eventually merged, located in south-east Queensland along the East Pacific coastline. It stretches from Beenleigh and Russell Island to the border between Queensland and New South Wales, some fifty kilometres. The climate is humid subtropical, with an average of more than 300 sunny days a year and little variation between seasons, with a wet season corresponding to summer and a dry season in spring.
