Professional Fields for a Work Placement in Berlin

Students must have a level of German equivalent to a solid B1 in order to take part. Once the required conditions are met, GLS guarantees a work placement in the field chosen from the options below. The search for a placement starts after the students arrive in Berlin. The minimum length of the placement is 6 weeks, but staying between 8 and 12 weeks is recommended in order to make the most of the experience and of the company’s investment in the intern.

Architecture

Interns will join a team of highly qualified architects working on projects in Germany and internationally. They will assist the team with documentation, administrative tasks, drawing or design, and even with running projects depending on their experience.

Arts and Culture

In this field, interns will work with influential artists and cultural entrepreneurs. Tasks may include general administration, working with children, writing for gallery websites, organising events or collaborating with artists.
