Located in Freiburg, in the leafy Waldsee district on the edge of the forest, the campus is easy to reach in twenty minutes by public transport thanks to a nearby tram stop. The classrooms, including the four others outside the main building, are reached by a taxi service. The school also offers many indoor and outdoor sports facilities for students: a sports centre with a swimming pool, football, basketball and volleyball pitches, all within walking distance.
The programme
Alpadia also offers fun, interactive summer programmes for young people who want to enjoy learning German during the holidays. Students are placed in the right class after taking a level test. The 20 lessons of 45 minutes are given Monday to Friday, in small groups of 15 students maximum. More intensive courses are also available, with group or private lessons for a more personal and intensive focus.
The programme also includes comfortable and varied full-board accommodation, with balanced and varied meals served buffet-style in the cafeteria. Afternoon leisure activities include exploring the city of Freiburg and visiting the region's leisure and animal parks, as well as taking part in various sports. ARRIVAL ON SITE
The school offers a shared transfer service to and from the airports of Basel, Zurich and Frankfurt at extra cost. This service is available for arrivals and departures between 10 am and 4 pm.
