Teen language courses in Munich

If you enjoy nature and outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking and campfires, and you are looking for an unforgettable language trip experience with friends from all over the world, the GLS Munich Adventure programme is made for you. It is next to Lake Spitzingsee, one of the clearest in the Bavarian Alps, just 50 km south of Munich. The magnificent chalet that welcomes young foreign students is a hotel taken over exclusively by GLS for language courses during the school holidays.

The programme

The German classes, given by passionate teachers, allow real progress, and the outdoor activities on offer will be a source of delight. The programme includes 20 lessons of 45 min per week with a maximum of 12 students per class. The training at the GLS school is of a high standard, combining the theory needed to develop the basic skills with plenty of role plays, conversations and speaking work to make you want to practise your German. All the lessons are interactive and enjoyable, with the emphasis on group work and oral presentations. You will be accommodated at the "Haus Bergsee" hotel, which has 7 classrooms, a garden, a climbing wall, a sauna, a fitness room and a common room with a television near the lake, in rooms with 3 to 4 beds. Each room has its own shower and toilet, and full board will let you enjoy local dishes in the cafeteria.

The activities

In addition to the German classes, you can enjoy many outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking, swimming, rafting and campfires. You will also have the chance to take on more exciting activities such as raft building and bivouacking. The school also organises excursions to Munich and the surrounding area. GLS staff members will stay with you throughout your stay to look after you and accompany you on activities and excursions.
