FAQ

Frequently asked questions before going to learn Spanish

A quick read to frame your project before comparing the destinations and schools available.

Where can you study Spanish with Move and Study?

At the moment: Argentina, Costa Rica, Spain. Europe works well for a stay of a few weeks; Latin America makes more sense for a longer project, where the journey is part of the experience. Each country has its own page, with its cities and schools.

Spanish from Spain or from Latin America: which should you learn?

It is one language. Pronunciation, the forms used for “you” and part of the vocabulary change from country to country, but what you learn on one side of the Atlantic is understood on the other. Choose the destination that appeals to you.

Which Spanish qualification can you prepare for?

The DELE is awarded on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Education and never expires. The SIELE is taken on a computer at an approved centre and is valid for five years. Not every school prepares for both; we check for the one you are interested in.

How quickly can you learn Spanish?

Spanish is among the more approachable languages: the spelling is regular, and much of the vocabulary looks familiar if you read English or another Romance language. After a few weeks of immersion, a beginner can usually hold a simple conversation. Schools often start complete beginners on set dates, which we check for you.
