Where can you study English with Move and Study?
At the moment: South Africa, Australia, Canada, United Arab Emirates, England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Malta, USA. For a week or two, pick somewhere close to home so you don’t lose days to travel. For a term or a gap year, the long-haul destinations come into their own. Whether you need a visa depends on your nationality, the country and the length of the course: we tell you what applies with your quote. Each country has its own page, with its cities and schools.
British, American or Australian English: does it matter?
Much less than people think. Accent, a handful of words and some spelling differ, but schools everywhere teach international English that is understood worldwide. Choose on city, length of stay and budget; your ear adjusts to the local accent within days.
Which English exam can you prepare for during your stay?
The most common are IELTS, TOEFL and the Cambridge exams (B2 First, C1 Advanced). Not every school prepares for every exam, and test dates are fixed. Tell us which exam you need and by when, and we will check which schools fit.
How long does it take to make real progress in English?
If you already have school-level English, two weeks is often enough to start speaking with confidence. To move up a full level on the European scale (CEFR), from B1 to B2 for example, allow two to three months of classes. On arrival, the school places you in a group at your level.
