I studied at the school for seven months, and it was an experience that far exceeded my expectations. My aunt also studied at CEL (formerly St. Giles) and recommended it to me with complete confidence. English has always been my biggest challenge, and learning it was my main goal when I came to Vancouver on a Working Holiday.

From the moment you step into the school, they make you feel at home. What stands out the most is the warmth of the welcome you receive. It’s also located right in Downtown, very close to Burrard SkyTrain station. In my case, I could even walk there from the apartment I rent.

Classes are small (maximum of 12 students), which allows for a nearly personalized learning experience. The teachers are excellent: demanding, but always attentive to your needs and committed to your progress. The teaching methods are effective and truly achieve their goals. In addition, the extracurricular activities are varied and fun, which complements the learning experience and gives you the chance to practice English with students from all over the world.

I learned a lot and I’m very happy with my progress through the different levels.

I’m truly grateful for everything I achieved and for being part of the CEL family. I will carry them in my heart forever.

I've been visiting CEL twice a year for a few years now. I recommend this school to any students I know who wish to learn English in Canada as the teachers here are highly experienced and supportive of their students. There is always an opportunity to improve your English here whether it's in class or doing a completely different activity while speaking in English the whole time. The atmosphere here is great for learning and making friends.
