Linguaviva, Italian schools in Florence and Milan

Linguaviva teaches Italian to students from all over the world in Florence and, under the name Linguadue, in Milan. Here is who they are, how people learn there, what sets these two centres apart, and their 2027 prices.

Who is Linguaviva?

Linguaviva is an Italian as a foreign language school based in Florence, via Fiume 17, next to the main railway station. Its Milan campus, Linguadue, has been welcoming international students in Milan since 1990.

We offer both centres: Florence (Linguaviva) and Milan (Linguadue).

How they teach

Standard Italian courses have 20 lessons of 45 minutes per week; intensive options have 30. In our catalogue, the class has an average of 12 students (10 for the complementary modules in Florence).

The “Super Intensive” option combines 20 group lessons and 10 individual lessons per week. Courses for beginners exist in both standard and intensive; levels range from beginner to advanced.

What sets Linguaviva apart

  • Two cities, one school. Florence for its historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1982, Milan for its Navigli, its cathedral and Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper.
  • An accompanied cultural programme. According to the school’s brochure, guided visits of museums and sites are always made with a member of staff; half-day excursions (Florence, on weekdays) or full-day excursions (weekends) complement the courses, with welcome and farewell dinners and musical events.

Its programmes, and for whom

For adults: standard Italian (with a version for beginners), intensive Italian (with a version for beginners), Super Intensive. In Florence, two complementary modules are added, “Italian + Arts” (photography, fashion, painting) and “Italian + Cooking”; in Milan, an evening course (6 lessons per week, fixed dates).

Standard and intensive courses start with flexible entry. In our catalogue, the standard course in Milan can be booked from age 18.
