Practical information:
everything you need to know to prepare your language course abroad as well as possible!
Travel documents
The travel documents with all the necessary information will be sent to you about 10 days before departure. Some schools provide detailed information sheets about the city, the school and how the courses are organised.
Travel insurance
Depending on the destination and above all on the length of your trip, it is advisable to take out travel insurance.
Visas
For some destinations, a tourist or student visa (depending on the duration) is required. We provide you with the information needed to obtain it. Note, however, that visa fees remain at your own expense. Stays in European Union countries do not require any visa. For the majority of other countries (except the United States) a tourist visa allows you to study for up to 12 weeks. Beyond that, a student visa is essential.
Transfers
For practically all destinations, we can arrange your transfer from the airport or station to your accommodation. Although slightly more expensive than the cost of a taxi or a bus taken individually, this service is often appreciated, especially after a long journey, if your language skills are limited, or if you are not used to travelling. Note that the transfer service is compulsory for minors under 16.
Flights
Move and Study no longer books flights for its customers. The reason is that booking your flight directly gives you the opportunity to benefit from more competitive fares, as well as a wider variety of choices in terms of times, connections and airlines. This option also allows you to manage your own itinerary and to change the dates of your trip or cancel your flight if necessary, without going through a third party.
Budget on site for everyday expenses
The amount of money you will need during your stay depends on many subjective factors. As we know the destinations personally, we can nevertheless give you an idea of the budget to allow for, depending on the cost of living, the accommodation and the kind of activities you plan to do. Do not hesitate to discuss it with your adviser!
