I studied at Kaplan International Languages Bournemouth for 11 months, and it was one of the best experiences of my life. My English improved a lot, and I met amazing people from lmany different countries.
The teachers were professional, friendly, and always willing to help. A special thank you to the Student Services team, who were always kind, supportive, and ready to help every student whenever needed.
I will always remember my time at Kaplan with gratitude. These 11 months gave me unforgettable memories, and I highly recommend Kaplan Bournemouth to anyone who wants to study English in the UK.

I’m going to be completely honest. I spent 6 months here, and I will share all the details.
Regarding the host families and accommodation: terrible, terrible, terrible.

It feels like they choose families who care more about money than education. I struggled a lot and had to move between 4 different host families. I know what you’re thinking: “Maybe the problem was you.” Honestly, no.
The first family had a student from my own nationality who constantly spoke my language.
The second family didn’t speak English. Yes, seriously, they could barely communicate in English.
The third family had exactly the same issue as the first one, with another student from my nationality.
The fourth family was finally good, but only after months of frustration and suffering.

The accommodation fees are also extremely expensive. And honestly, you’re lucky if you end up with a family that can actually cook well and serves good food.
I’m not being greedy 😂.
Now, let’s talk about the studies.
The education was very, very, very poor.
Why?
Because many lessons were repetitive, and some teachers were simply terrible.
One teacher spent the whole morning talking about crimes and negative events in Bournemouth.
Another teacher would come to class with a ball that had probably been touched by hundreds of people every day, and we would repeat the same routine over and over again.
To be fair, there were two people I genuinely learned from and appreciated:

Elina and John.
They were extremely important and made a real difference.
Now, let’s talk about the activities…
Actually, I’d rather stay silent 😂😂.
I honestly think taking a bus home would be a thousand times better than most of their activities.

I stayed just over a month, it was a great experience. The staff and the teachers were really supportive and helpful. My host family was also kind. I like this place because you can also visit some peaceful areas near to school.

Great experience at Kaplan in Bournemouth! The city is really nice. The courses are well structured and the teachers are truly invested in their students’ progress. The international atmosphere makes it easy to practise the language in a real life context, ( both in and out of the classroom) I would definitely recommend Kaplan to anyone looking to improve their language skills enjoyably!
