Great experience learning German here. The classrooms are spacious, and the interactive electronic whiteboards make lessons easy to follow. Audio quality is excellent, and I learned a lot during my course. The teachers explain things clearly and are very dedicated. Overall, a modern and effective place to learn German.

I came here through the did deutsch-institut, and the program changes every day. When you actually need help, there’s no one in the lobby, so it’s impossible to keep track or make plans. I came to Germany both to travel and study, and since it was my first time, this experience was really bad.

When I asked a teacher sitting idly in the lobby which class I was in, he said “I’m only English.” Fine, I asked in English, and he still didn’t answer. Then someone came out of a class and helped me. I found this completely ridiculous. In such a crowded place, this chaotic system gives the impression of a fake order. Couldn’t you find a single person to manage the lobby? Clearly, you still have a long way to improve.

There aren’t even class numbers on the classrooms—it’s basically empty. There’s no guidance and no one taking care of you. I came here to learn German, and when I tried to join an online class once, I wasn’t even accepted and waited for half an hour. This disaster can’t have happened only to me. Everyone seemed very lifeless and looked at you like an enemy; their way of speaking and shouting was uncomfortable. If this is the kind of service I’m going to receive, I would rather not come at all. My mental health is more important than the German lessons I would get. There is no sense of empathy in these people. I wish we spoke the same language so I could explain myself face to face :)

The places we were accommodated in were also extremely poor in quality. People who give high ratings to these places either stay in the best sections of these accommodations or have never seen anything better. There were also constant relocations; due to things like contract terminations and other nonsense, I had to change three different locations (hotels and dormitories). And these changes are not announced in advance—just like the constantly changing school schedule, you only find out on the last day :)

Would I visit Berlin again? I don’t think so. Anyone planning to come should be cautious, because the way they communicate with you via email is completely different from what you experience face to face.

By the way, when you say that you didn’t like your experience and express your opinion, they even threaten to take you to court.

To study in Did Berlin was fantastic.
The teachers are prepared and very good.
Secretary Matthias is very friendly and attentive. It's great to know that he knows a little Portuguese language.
The school structure is clean, organized and modern.
I love Germany and I loved Berlin so much that this year I will return to study again.

Last year I visited the summer camp and I loved it!
I spent two weeks with amazing people and made countless memories. Throughout my stay i've also attended German lessons and I can honestly say that i have improved a lot. Most of the teachers were friendly, however their teaching methods could have used a little update. For my taste there was a little too much reading and lack of speaking in the lessons. But all the activities outside of school made up for it. We've made a handful of interesting trips and most importantly had lots of free time to explore the city on our own with our new made friends. To this day I still think of the all the things we've experienced. The thing I'm the happiest about is that I'm still in contact with some of the kids I've met.
Couldn't recommend this camp more!

I have been in DID Berlin summer camp 2 times already, and there is a good reason behind this: DID is simply the best summer camp in Berlin. Both the curriculum, the way of teaching and after school programs were incredible. I am confident in saying that, I have improved more in 3 weeks in camp than in one year in school. The athmosphere of the camp is brilliant, I have made many friends with not only students but with teachers as well. I can only recommend. 10/10
